About

I'm a full-stack and applied AI engineer with six years of experience shipping production SaaS, mobile, government, and financial systems. I'm the founding engineer at Hitaji Technologies, where I'm building Hitaji 360, where I work across 11 production services and build authorized AI agents, payment infrastructure, and products for schools, SACCOs, legal teams, agriculture, and construction.

Before that I spent six months at Turing on a Google DeepMind project, evaluating Gemini against real open-source repositories and turning observed failures into 200+ training and evaluation tasks. That work shaped how I approach AI: build the system, measure it against real work, and keep humans at the decisions where mistakes matter.

I've also cut Khoros' CloudWatch spend by approximately $129K a year, and spent two years at the Uganda Revenue Authority building the portal financial institutions use to file cross-border account data under OECD tax-transparency rules. The common thread is dependable software for workflows where correctness matters.

I'm based in Kampala and available for remote full-stack and applied AI roles. When I'm not building, I'm usually in the pool or somewhere with a book.

    Founding engineer for Hitaji 360, a production platform spanning 11 services across identity, payments, notifications, AI, and vertical products. Architected Hitaji Bot, whose generated changes have produced 60+ merged pull requests across 10+ microservices. Built a shared authorization registry for 97 LLM-callable capabilities and shipped URA EFRIS e-invoicing with RSA authentication and AES-encrypted fiscal submissions.

    AWS cost engineering across Khoros' enterprise SaaS products. Cut CloudWatch GetMetricData spend by approximately $129K/year through Datadog integration consolidation and Python automation. Led an ElastiCache consolidation toward a $146K/year savings target, migrating 60 of 90 Redis clusters to shared Valkey infrastructure before handoff. Analyzed CloudFront traffic exceeding 100M daily requests with Athena and Parquet to identify cache and origin-bandwidth savings.

AutoFinance360 unified sales, underwriting, inventory, and collections for a multi-entity dealership group; its pre-deal risk checks reduced early loan defaults by 18%. Also delivered GPS-backed inventory audit trails across 6+ sites and 15+ member and donation workflows with OCR-assisted reconciliation.

    Built internal platforms for Uganda's national tax authority. Delivered the React and Java/Quarkus AEOI Portal used by 30+ financial institutions to submit CRS/FATCA account data. Replaced spreadsheet-based compliance work with automated case routing, penalty assessment, status tracking, and escalation workflows, alongside project, leave, and VAT tooling used across divisions.
